If the disc must handle repeated cleaning, stronger pressure, or tighter structure retention, sintered construction may be the better fit. If the application is simpler and the part is easy to replace, a woven disc may still provide the best value.

Quote the disc as part of the process environment

• State medium, pressure, cleaning method, and replacement interval.
• Confirm diameter, thickness, support need, and edge condition.
• Ask whether the disc must remain flat, rigid, or ready for assembly into a holder.
