Gabion performance comes from the combination of wire diameter, mesh opening, edge wire reinforcement, and corrosion protection. Buyers should confirm zinc coating level or additional PVC coating when the project environment is wet, coastal, or chemically aggressive.

Internal structure affects long-term stability

Diaphragms help maintain basket shape and distribute stone load. They are easy to overlook during quotation, but missing internal partitions can change project performance and site labor time. Flat-pack dimensions and bundle method also influence freight cost.

• Check whether diaphragms, lacing wire, spirals, or clips are included.
• Align flat-pack size with stone fill and installation method.
