英語原文ガイド
Choose grade by media and environment
304 stainless steel wire mesh works well for general filtration, screening, and indoor industrial use. When chloride exposure, marine air, aggressive chemicals, or stricter hygiene conditions are present, 316 usually gives better corrosion resistance. Grade choice should come from service conditions, not price alone.
Select weave for flow and retention
Plain weave is the common starting point for screening and general-purpose filtration. Twill weave supports finer mesh with thicker wire and better stability. Dutch weave is preferred when pressure resistance and finer particle retention matter more than visual mesh count. Buyers should discuss both retention target and pressure conditions with the supplier.
Mesh count is not the same as micron rating
Many buyers request mesh count only, but filtration performance depends on opening shape, wire diameter, and weave pattern. A correct quote normally needs grade, weave, wire diameter, mesh count or micron target, roll or sheet size, and the final application.
- Use 304 for general industrial environments and 316 for harsher corrosion exposure.
- Use plain weave for common screening, twill for finer stable mesh, and Dutch weave for pressure filtration.
- Quote with both structure details and size requirements to avoid rework.
A complete specification saves time, reduces sampling rounds, and improves first-order accuracy.
