How to Send a Clear RFQ for Custom Wire Mesh Products

Use a better RFQ structure for custom mesh, fabricated parts, and OEM orders so suppliers can quote faster and more accurately.

Custom mesh RFQs fail when key dimensions are missing

Suppliers cannot quote accurately when the request says only "custom wire mesh" without application, drawing, or dimensional logic. The result is a slow email chain and a higher chance of quoting the wrong item.

Drawings help, but structured text also works

If a full drawing is not ready, buyers should still provide the product use, material, opening or hole pattern, wire diameter or sheet thickness, overall size, finish, quantity, and destination. Photos of similar parts also help.

Ask for the commercial points in the first email

  • MOQ and sampling option
  • Tooling need and estimated lead time
  • Packing method and export terms

A complete RFQ improves quote speed, reduces assumption risk, and makes supplier comparison more meaningful.

Need a quote or specification check?

Email [email protected] with product name, material, aperture, wire diameter, quantity, destination port, and target standard.
