Understand cut size, flatness, hole position, formed shape, and weld tolerance limits before approving custom fabricated wire mesh parts.
Buyers often send drawings for baskets, guards, discs, panels, trays, or formed parts without clearly identifying which dimensions are critical. Suppliers can manufacture the part, but disputes appear later if the RFQ does not distinguish cosmetic dimensions from fit-critical tolerances.
Cutting, shearing, bending, spot welding, rolling, edging, and frame assembly each add their own tolerance stack. A woven mesh panel with formed edges will not hold the same dimensional behavior as a laser-cut sheet component. Buyers should align realistic tolerances to the actual process route.
Clear tolerance agreements reduce claim risk, shorten sampling rounds, and improve repeat-order consistency.
