Quality control starts before weaving or welding

Buyers should ask how wire rod, stainless wire, or other raw materials are identified before production. Material mix-ups are harder to correct than dimensional defects, so traceability at the input stage matters.

Critical dimensions must be measured against the application

Different wire mesh products require different control points. Woven mesh buyers usually focus on wire diameter, opening consistency, and surface cleanliness. Welded mesh buyers need weld integrity, panel flatness, and opening accuracy. Perforated products may need hole pattern accuracy, burr control, and sheet flatness. Good quality reports reflect the real product risk.

Packing is part of quality

Even good production can fail if rolls deform, panels scratch, or labels disappear in transit. Ask for packing photos and export marking samples together with dimensional inspection records.

• Check raw material identity and traceability before production starts.
• Ask which dimensions are inspected and how often they are recorded.
• Review coating checks, weld checks, and final packing condition.
• Request inspection evidence that matches the ordered product family.

Quality control is most useful when it is measurable, documented, and linked to the actual export order.
